AP and College Credit

When a university awards elective credit for an Advanced Placement (AP) test score, this is NOT useless credit.  In order to graduate with a bachelor’s degree from any university, you need at least 120 credit hours. 40 hours are generally from your major, 20 hours are generally from your minor area and another 34+ hours are from general education requirements.  That still leaves at least 20 hours that you must earn either in additional general education classes or in classes that focus on your major course of study. You might as well allow A.P. courses to count towards these elective requirements.
