Salt Lake Rotary Youth Scholarship

Rotary Service Scholarships that the Salt Lake Rotary Club, an international service organization, awards $3000 every year to two students in each of the Salt Lake City high schools who demonstrate outstanding service to their schools and communities. Three to five students who apply will be selected by AMES for an interview with the Rotary Committee, who will make the final decision.

2019 ROTARY HIGH SCHOOL CRITERIA FOR SELECTION
SUGGESTED POINT SCALE
(90 Points) I. PRIMARY CRITERIA
A. Demonstrated Service Activities - Community service outside of the classroom and church. (40 points)
B. Demonstrated Service Activities - Service activities within school and/or church organizations. (30 points)
C. Knowledge of Rotary - An expressed knowledge of the mission of Rotary should be displayed by candidates. (5 points)
D. Financial Need - Is this student on the Free and Reduced Lunch Program (15 points)
(10 Points) II. SECONDARY CRITERIA
A. Excellence In the Classroom - Teacher's recommendation, administrator's recommendation, report cards, etc (10 points)
